Visual Description
Agromyza nana is a species of leaf-mining fly. In its larval stage, the insect is typically observed as a small, yellowish, elongated larva, often found within the leaf tissue of its host plant.[1] The feeding activity of the larvae creates characteristic, pale, irregular blotch-like mines on the leaves of host plants, such as those in the genus Trifolium.[2]
Ecology
Agromyza nana is known to interact with plants in the genus Trifolium (clovers), including Trifolium pratense and Trifolium nigrescens.[2] As a member of the family Agromyzidae, it is a leaf-miner, meaning its larvae feed on the internal tissues of leaves.[3]
