Description
Agromyza fragariae was described by J. R. Malloch in 1913.[2]
Visual Description
Based on observations of museum specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Agromyza fragariae is a small fly characterized by a dark, robust thorax and a distinctively patterned abdomen.[1] The abdomen exhibits alternating dark and lighter, transverse bands. The wings are hyaline (clear) with visible venation typical of the family Agromyzidae. The head features prominent, reddish-brown compound eyes and noticeable bristles (setae) around the head and thorax.[1]
