Visual Description
Agromyza demeijerei is a small fly belonging to the family Agromyzidae. Based on observations of preserved specimens, the species exhibits the typical morphology of agromyzid flies, characterized by a small, compact body.[1]
Ecology and Distribution
Agromyza demeijerei is known to be a leaf-mining insect.[2] It has been documented interacting with the golden-chain tree (Laburnum anagyroides).[3]
In studies conducted in urban environments in Slovakia, A. demeijerei was identified as a leaf miner on Laburnum species.[2] It has been recorded as a non-indigenous (alien) pest in these urban areas, with specific documentation of its presence in urban parks.[2]
