This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Agromyza cinerascens is a species of leaf-mining fly in the family Agromyzidae, formally described by Macquart in 1835.[2]
Agromyza cinerascens is a small fly, typical of the family Agromyzidae. Based on examination of museum specimens, the adult exhibits a compact, dark-colored body with relatively long, clear wings that extend beyond the abdomen. The thorax and abdomen are generally uniform in coloration, appearing dark brown to blackish. The legs are slender and dark. The overall morphology is consistent with the general body plan of leaf-mining flies in the genus Agromyza.[1]
