The thorax and abdomen are generally dark in coloration, consistent with many members of the genus Agromyza.[1]
Agromyza alunulata (Hendel, 1931) is a recognized species within the family Agromyzidae.[2] It has been documented to interact with the plant Glyceria maxima.[3] In terms of morphological identification, the species is noted for specific male genitalic traits, including a conspicuously short distiphallus, a feature it shares with Agromyza cambodiae.[4]
