Specimens shown in available images are consistent with a benthic, encrusting to massive marine sponge form typical of Demospongiae, appearing as thick tissue/laminae on hard substrata. Colors vary across records, commonly appearing in shades of tan to yellow-brown in photographs, with preserved specimens showing darker, compact sponge tissue.
