Visual Description
Based on observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Agathomyia fulva exhibits the characteristic body form of the family Platypezidae, often referred to as flat-footed flies.[1] The specimens display a compact, robust thorax and a distinctively flattened appearance, particularly in the tarsal segments of the legs, which is a diagnostic trait for the family. Agathomyia fulva was originally described by C.W.
