Overview
Afroparaclius is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae.[2] The genus was described by entomologist Igor Grichanov in 2006.[3]
Visual Description
Based on specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Afroparaclius exhibit the characteristic morphology of long-legged flies.[1] They possess slender, elongated legs typical of the family Dolichopodidae. The body structure is generally compact, with a distinct head and thorax. Due to the limitations of the available photographic records, finer diagnostic characters such as specific wing venation patterns or setal arrangements cannot be definitively resolved.[1]
