Visual Description
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Aedes ventrovittis exhibits the characteristic morphology of a mosquito, including a slender body, long, thin legs, and a pair of wings.[1] Due to the limitations of the available imagery, finer diagnostic morphological traits cannot be resolved.[1]
Ecology and Distribution
Aedes ventrovittis (also known as Ochlerotatus ventrovittis) is recognized as an endemic mosquito species in Canada.[2] It was originally described by Dyar in 1916.[3]
