Visual Description
Aedes postspiraculosus is a mosquito species within the family Culicidae. Based on examination of preserved museum specimens, the species exhibits typical culicid morphology, including a slender body, long, thin legs, and a pair of wings.[1] Due to the nature of the available images, which are of pinned specimens, fine diagnostic characters such as specific scale patterns on the thorax or abdomen are not clearly resolvable.
General Information
Aedes postspiraculosus was described by the entomologist N. V. Dobrotworsky in 1960.[2] It is an accepted species within the genus Aedes.[2]
