Overview
Aedes mixtus is a species of mosquito in the family Culicidae, first described by F.W. Edwards in 1936.[2]
Ecology
In a study conducted in the north-eastern parts of South Africa between 2014 and 2018, Aedes mixtus was identified among the mosquito species collected, specifically using net traps.[3] During this research, some specimens that were morphologically indistinguishable were recorded as Aedes mixtus/microstictus.[3]
