Aedes gressitti is a mosquito species. Based on observations of museum specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, the adult form exhibits characteristic dipteran morphology, including a slender body, a pair of functional wings, and long, thin legs.[1] The specimens display typical culicid features such as a prominent proboscis and compound eyes.[1]
Aedes gressitti was described by R.M. Bohart in 1957.[2] The original description was published in the work "Diptera: Culicidae" as part of the Insects of Micronesia series.[2]
