Description and Ecology
Aedes eritreae is a mosquito species described by Lewis in 1942.[2] Within the classification of Aedini mosquitoes, it is placed in the subgenus Aedimorphus.[3]
In a study conducted in the north-eastern regions of South Africa between 2014 and 2018, Aedes eritreae was among the mosquito species collected for research.[3] As part of this surveillance, DNA barcodes (cytochrome oxidase subunit I, COI) were generated for the species.[3]
