Visual Description
Aedes cinereus is a mosquito species characterized by a generally dark, reddish-brown coloration. While other species like Aedes vexans have tested positive for Dirofilaria repens DNA in the same region, Aedes cinereus is considered a potential vector for these parasites.[2]
