This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Based on observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Aedeomyia venustipes exhibits characteristic morphological features of the family Culicidae.[1] The specimens display a distinct, patterned appearance on the wings and body, typical of the genus Aedeomyia. The head features prominent, well-developed compound eyes and elongated antennae. The overall body structure is slender, consistent with other members of the Culicidae.
Aedeomyia venustipes (Skuse, 1889) is a recognized species within the family Culicidae.[2] It was originally described by F.A.A. Skuse in 1889 as Aedes venustipes in his work on the Culicidae of Australia.[2]
