Visual Description
Admontia blanda is a species of tachinid fly. While specific morphological traits are often best observed in high-resolution specimens, individuals of this genus generally exhibit the characteristic features of the family Tachinidae, including a robust body and prominent bristles.[1]
Biology and Ecology
Admontia blanda was originally described by Carl Fredrik Fallén in 1820 as Tachina blanda.[2] As a member of the family Tachinidae, it is a parasitoid fly.[3] Global biotic interaction data indicates that this species may interact with various organisms, including plants of the order Fagales, and it is known to be preyed upon by the European tree frog (Hyla arborea).[4]
