Based on observations of preserved specimens, Actinodoria argentea exhibits characteristic tachinid morphology.[2] The body is robust, typical of the family, with prominent bristles (macrochaetae) distributed across the thorax and abdomen. The wings are clear and well-developed, with distinct venation patterns characteristic of the order Diptera. The head features large, compound eyes and prominent antennae. The overall coloration of the specimens appears muted, consistent with preserved material.[2]
