Acrostictomyia
Acrostictomyia is a genus of picture-winged flies in the family Ulidiidae. It was described by the entomologist Everard Ernest Blanchard in 1938.[1]

Visual Description
Based on observations of Acrostictomyia subapicalis, members of this genus exhibit characteristic features of the family Ulidiidae.[2] The flies possess wings with distinct, dark pigmentation patterns, which are typical for the family. The body structure is robust, with a clearly defined head, thorax, and abdomen, and the compound eyes are prominent.[2]
