Based on observations of museum specimens, such as Acracantha inornata, the genus exhibits the characteristic slender, elongated body form typical of many crane flies.[2] The specimens display a generally light brown or tan coloration across the thorax and abdomen. The legs are notably long and thin, extending significantly from the body, which is a diagnostic feature of the family Tipulidae.[2]
