Description
Acomopterella martinovskyi is a species of fungus gnat in the family Mycetophilidae. It was described by Jan Ševčík and Peter J. Chandler in 2008, representing the first record of the genus Acomopterella in the Palaearctic region [2].
Distribution and Records
The species was originally described from specimens collected in the Tatra National Park, Slovakia [3]. Additional records have been documented in the Krkonoše Mountains of the Czech Republic, where it was collected using a Malaise trap in 2009 [3].
