Visual Description
Acinia biflexa is a fruit fly characterized by its distinct wing patterns. History and Classification
Acinia biflexa was described by the entomologist Hermann Loew in 1844, originally under the name Trypeta biflexa.[2] It is a recognized species within the family Tephritidae, a group commonly known as fruit flies or peacock flies, many of which are known for their patterned wings.[2]
