Acidoxantha quinaria is a species of fruit fly within the family Tephritidae. Observations of preserved specimens indicate that the species possesses characteristic tephritid features, including a distinct wing venation pattern and a robust thorax. The body exhibits a yellowish-brown coloration typical of many members of the genus. The wings are marked with dark, patterned bands, which are diagnostic features often used in the identification of species within this family.[1]
Acidoxantha quinaria was described by Permkam and Hancock in 1995.[2] It is recognized as an accepted species within the genus Acidoxantha.[2]
