Accacladocoelium is a genus of trematodes belonging to the family Accacoeliidae within the order Plagiorchiida. The genus was formally described by T. Odhner in 1928. Recognized species within this genus include A. macrocotyle, A. alveolatum, A. petasiporum, and A. nigroflavum.[1][2]
These trematodes are known parasites of marine fish, with documented hosts including the ocean sunfish (Mola mola), the southern sunfish (Mola ramsayi), and Mogurnda variegata. Occurrence records for the genus have been documented between latitudes 40°N and 55°N and longitudes 72°W and 15°E, spanning observations from 1886 to 2007.[1][2]
