Acanthobothrium dujardinii is a species of tapeworm belonging to the phylum Platyhelminthes, class Cestoda, and family Onchobothriidae. It is recognized as a parasite that infects the spotted ray, Raja montagui.[1][2]
Visual Description
The morphology of A. dujardinii is characterized by a distinct scolex equipped with four prominent, muscular bothridia. Historical illustrations reveal the elongated body structure, including individual proglottids that contain visible internal reproductive organs.
