Abiskomyia paravirgo Goetghebuer, 1940, is a species of non-biting midge within the family Chironomidae. It has been documented across numerous biogeographical provinces in Finland, including Satakunta (St), Tavastia australis (Ta), Ostrobothnia australis (Oa), Tavastia borealis (Tb), Savonia borealis (Sb), Karelia borealis (Kb), Ostrobothnia media (Om), Ostrobothnia kajanensis (Ok), Ostrobothnia borealis (Oba, Obb), Kuusamo (Ks), and various regions of Lapponia (Lkoc, Lkor, Le, Li) [2].
