Overview
Aagaardia protensa is a species of non-biting midge in the family Chironomidae. It was described by O.A. Saether in 2000 as part of the establishment of the Holarctic orthoclad genus Aagaardia.[2]
Distribution
The species is recorded in the Finnish fauna, with occurrences documented across several biogeographical provinces, including Al, Ab, N, Ka, St, Ta, Kl, Oa, Tb, Sb, Kb, Om, Ok, Ks, Lkoc, and Le.[3]
